In Japanese, the word "Mayoi" (迷い) translates to wandering, hesitation, or getting lost. Through the lens of Zen philosophy, Mayoi represents a distracted mind—a state of being overwhelmed by the noise, temptations, and excess of the outside world.

In a fashion industry that constantly screams for attention, chasing fleeting trends and loud logos, we are surrounded by a thousand of these distractions.

Chimayoi was not born to add to the chaos. Instead, we redefine our name through a unique aesthetic philosophy: Chi (知 – Understanding) – Ma (間 – Space/Emptiness) – Yoi (酔 – Intoxication/Immersion).

In Eastern art, "Ma" (間) is a profound concept. It is the mastery of negative space. It is the silence between two musical notes that creates the melody; the untouched part of a canvas that gives meaning to a single brushstroke. "Chimayoi" is the deep, mindful immersion into the beauty of that emptiness.
